The Hornet Badge is Hornet’s symbol of authenticity in the community.
It is Hornet’s way of showing that a user who has the Hornet Badge is a valued member of our community.
At Hornet, we have always put safety and security at the forefront of everything we do. By doing so, we create the safe space needed for our users to be their authentic selves and make genuine connections. Within the app, we want you to be secure in the people that you are making connections with.
The Hornet Badge is only shown on a profile when the user has completed a number of actions and contributions within the Hornet Community. These are the users who are being their authentic selves. You can be sure that a user with the Hornet Badge is a person you can make a genuine connection with.
We know that you want to make connections with other people on the app and we know that you want to be your authentic self. When you see the Hornet Badge on a profile, you know that this is a person who has earned trust. You will know that this is a person who has verified their account, either directly with Hornet or through making many genuine connections within the community. It is most definitely not a newly created profile with no connections.
I have just created my profile – how do I get the Hornet Badge?
As this is one of our safety features, we do not give out the exact ways in which a person earns the Hornet Badge. The best advice that we can give is to be your authentic self. Respect others’ and Hornet’s values and make connections within the app. Above all else, the Hornet Community is a place for people to be safe. Use the Hornet feed, reach out to others who share your interests, and make those connections.
If you cannot find a solution in our FAQ, please write to us at feedback@hornet.com. It is important that you include your Account ID so that we can trace your account. Your Account ID is located on your profile, right under your name, and begins with the “@” symbol.
