RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 2 winner Alaska Thunderfuck is currently embodying The Golden Girls at New York’s Laurie Beechman Theatre in her new show Alaska & Jeremy: On Golden Girls.

With her sidekick Handsome Jeremy on the keys, Alaska is getting up in the gig as Sophia, Blanche, Dorothy and Rose. Shows over the past weekend were all sold out. There may be a few tickets left for this weekend, as it closes on August 13.

Thankfully for those who aren’t lucky enough to snatch a seat, someone over at Yahoo! Music filmed one of the numbers. In the video, Alaska performs Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know” as Dorothy Zbornak. And the result is pretty hilarious.

The description for Alaska & Jeremy: On Golden Girls reads:

She has previously paid homage to Cher and Stevie Nicks, now RuPaul’s Drag Race favorite ALASKA and her sidekick HANDSOME JEREMY set their sights on America’s favorite quartet of cheesecake-loving sassy seniors with the premiere of ON GOLDEN GIRLS. Performances begin April 3 at The Laurie Beechman Theatre.

“Miami is nice, so I’ll say it thrice.” Join singer/songwriter/model/actress Alaska and her ivory-tickling mystic Handsome Jeremy as they take you on a musical journey of story and song, diving deep into the lake known as The Golden Girls. Drawing upon their vast knowledge and worship of the Girls of Gold, Alaska and Jeremy will explore the songs featured within the 7 seasons of the hit TV classic, while offering their own unique analysis and perspective on all things Golden.

Why is the show so important to the Miss Thunderfuck?

“This was one of the first shows that dealt with gay issues,” Alaska told Huffington Post. “There were gay characters that weren’t just a one note comedic punchline – they were three dimensional and they have problems and fears and hopes and that’s amazing!”
