Gay porn star Ali Liam went missing following the stabbing death of his boyfriend, Keith Harris, in their San Francisco apartment. Liam, who’s real name is Othman Al-Muttalaby, has been found, arrested and booked on a first-degree murder charge.
According to the sheriff’s department, Al-Muttalaby was booked at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7. Deputies made the arrest that day at 3:30 p.m. He’s currently in Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.
Al-Muttalaby is in the hospital’s jail ward and has been treated for an injury, but police haven’t disclosed what type of injury it is or whether it was self-inflicted. It’s not clear how long he has been in the hospital. A source has confirmed to Str8UpGayPorn [Link NSFW] that he is being detained there on a 51/50 (involuntary psychiatric hold) while awaiting transfer to jail.
San Francisco’s Bay Area Reporter spoke with a friend of Al-Muttalaby’s. Vivien Habeeb told them that she’d heard from him the day he was arrested.
“He called me from a hospital, and I was told by his social worker that police were questioning him right after he was out of some surgery,” said Habeeb, who lives in Davis, California. She declined to share more information, indicating that she was waiting for permission from police.
Keith Harris was found stabbed to death in his apartment on Thursday, November 2, as reported by the Bay Area Reporter. Str8UpGayPorn [Link NSFW] confirms that Ali is a gay porn performer who worked for sites Men.com and Pride Studios earlier this year, going by the name Ali Liam.
Harris was an “absolutely nice, normal guy,” said Paul Novales, the manager of the Estrella Apartments at 340 Hayes Street. “The kind of tenant that everyone wishes they had.”
San Francisco party promoter Gus Bean was friends with the couple. He said that Ali, who is in his early 20s, had frequently worked for him as a go-go dancer.
“They seemed like a perfectly happy couple. … Keith’s an absolute sweetheart, the sweetest guy ever,” he adds. “Ali seemed like a really sweet guy.”
This is a developing story.
