Bebe Zahara Benet Receives Violent and Racist Attacks Post Controversial ‘All Stars 3’ Elimination

Warning: there are spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen the latest episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3.

After the controversial elimination of Aja by Bebe Zahara Benet on last week’s episode of All Stars 3, Benet’s social media has been flooded with racist and violent attacks from fans.

Some fans wrote “hope you die n***a ass bitch” and “Suck my vagina dirty n****r.” Other people left monkey emojis. The messages have since been deleted.

Aja went in on these racist trolls on her Twitter the day after the elimination occurred.

She wrote:

MY ELIMINATION DOES NOT WARRANT HATE TOWARD ANYONE!!!! MAY I REPEAT. IF YOU SUPPORT HATE AND RACISM THEN YOU DO NOT SUPPORT ME! IF I SEE IT – YOU WILL GET BLOCKED. that is not the T! calm that shit the fuck down,

its a god damn show. a fucking show about mostly men in dresses. and in my case a beautiful woman from st tropez – i don’t like seeing hate. its tacky and nobody deserves it.

IF U WANNA FOLLOW ME THEN FOLLOW ME BUT DONT THROW HATE AT OTHERS. ITS NOT HER FAULT!

On Redditt, fans discussed the racist behavior. Saphedy commented: “Her Insta is getting spammed with monkey emojis and snake emojis. Lots of racial slurs and general awful words. Bebe does not deserve this guys. It’s a fucking tv show and our Regal winner is getting attacked by basic bitches. Show our girl some love.”

Kingdom6656 added: “I can’t believe people are calling her a “slave” and saying they want to “scalp” her. What the fuck is wrong with people?”

This is not the first time a person of color has experienced backlash and racist abuse after appearing on the show.

Last year, Nina Bonina Brown received a large amount of abuse after winning a controversial lip sync against fan favorite, Valentina.  Jasmine Masters, who was eliminated early in season 7, received many nasty tweets – including some using the “n-word.” It got so bad that RuPaul had to tell fans to stop. And Kennedy Davenport and Tyra Sanchez have both publicly complained about racist treatment from fans, as well.

Sound off on the racist abuse Bebe Zahara Benet is receiving in the comments below and on Facebook.
