Trans celebrity Caitlyn Jenner and Brit talk show host Piers Morgan went head-to-head while filming an interview for Morgan’s series Life Stories. The transgender Olympian shut down intrusive questions referring to her genitals, explaining to Morgan why those types of topics are just not OK to bring up with trans people.

According to The Sun, their interview, which will be aired on ITV1 at a later date, was full of awkward moments. Piers even pulled out a doll resembling Jenner as her former identity, Bruce.
Showcasing the doll in front of her, Piers said: “You were an all-American, six-foot two-inch muscle-bound guy. When you look at that guy what do you think?”
Caitlyn replied: “Good for him. There is a lot more to this story than just that.”
But of course, Morgan wouldn’t let it go.

“How does your physique compare now to what it did then?” he asked. “Obviously, certain areas we know about…”
This was understandably too much for Jenner, who told him: “You made a comment there and that’s why you would get in trouble, okay? You said ‘certain areas’ – that, to a trans-person, is disrespectful.”
Despite telling Morgan to his face that he was being offensive, he continued to ask about her body, reportedly joking about the matter.
Jenner shut it down.
“It’s not funny. It’s life. It’s a very serious part of my life,” she said. “I take that very seriously and so out of respect to myself and the community, it’s not something that you joke about.”
Jenner asserts: “This is serious stuff. People die over these issues. It’s not a joke.”
Piers then concedes and ends the conversation with a simple, “Point taken.”
We’re still not sure if Jenner, a notorious Republican and recent Trump supporter, is on the right side of things when it comes to advocating for the LGBTQ community. But this for sure is one step in the right direction.
