Openly gay Glee star Chris Colfer will return to television as the director and star of a new sci-fi drama called Indigo.

The series is based on a New Age concept called “indigo children.”

According to believers, indigo children (also called “crystal children” or “star children”) represent a new stage of human development. They’re creative, strong-willed and psychic.

Colfer’s series will focus on indigo children and the villains who try to exploit them, according to the Hollywood Reporter

Colfer created Indigo for himself to star in. He’s more than just a cute actor—he’s also an accomplished writer and producer, and he’s writing the script for the series pilot.
