2016 study of data from 21 American cities revealed that condom use among men who have sex with men declined about 40% over the last decade. Sadly, the study didn’t ask why, but reduced sexual stimulation and bad fits might be two possible reasons. So, to address the latter, a Boston-based company called the Global Protection Corporation has started selling “custom-fit condoms in 60 sizes, in combinations of 10 lengths and nine circumferences.”

Sold under the brand name myONE Perfect Fit, the custom-fit condom uses an alphanumeric “FitKit” measuring system, a combination ruler and measuring tape that you can print at home. The FitKit takes a guy’s individual measurements — assigning a letter for his length and a number for his width — and then recommends a size for their custom fit condom.

If that’s too technical, the brand website also has a section where you can just enter in your measurements or describe the condoms you prefer, and it’ll suggest a custom size as well. You can also just buy the sampler pack and try all 60, but we imagine that might get a bit … exhausting.

According to the company’s website, most standard condoms are nearly 7 inches long, at least one-and-a-half inches longer than the average penis size of 5.57 inches. As a result, the excess length can sometimes roll up at the base of the penis, causing constriction and discomfort. For bigger guys, the overall condom can feel too tight or roll up during sex and slip off completely.

Comparatively, the myONE condoms come in lengths ranging from 4.9 to 9.4 inches. They claim to provide “28 sizes larger than the leading XL condom and 27 sizes smaller than the average condom.”

Although custom-fit condoms have been available in Europe since 2011, the U.S. testing standards created by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) were created to test the typical “one-size-fits-all” condom rather than a wide variety of sizes, delaying the release of custom-fit condoms in the U.S. until recently.

The myONE condoms are available online now. They cost 66 cents apiece in regular 24-pack shipments or $1.66 apiece in a single six-pack.
