Dan Savage and Anthony Rapp Make Chicago Proud
Chicago’s always had an active queer community. In fact — many of your favorite LGBTQ celebrities hail from the Windy City! Here are just two of our favorites — let us know your favorite queer Chicagoans!
Dan Savage — Writer & Activist
Writer, author, journalist and activist are just a few of the things Dan Savage does for a living. He’s the writer of the amazing sex-advice column “Savage Love”, he created the It Gets Better Project alongside his (sexy) husband Terry Miller, and he’s executive producer of ABC’s sitcom The Real O’Neals.
And did I mention that Dan’s husband is one sexy man? Just look at his Instagram…
Gay guys always ask Dan: "How do I find a husband, the love of my life, when I don't like to go to gay bars, I don't like sluts, I don't drink too much, or do any drugs?!?" The answer: You go to a gay bar, get drunk, say *Hi!* to a slut who's stoned. Trust me. It works. I'm still with the same man after 21 years. We still go to gay bars together. We don't talk to each other. But we're there. #?#?#?#?#? with @dansavage
Anthony Rapp — Actor & Singer
You’ll probably remember him from his role as Mark Cohen in the film version of Rent, but Rapp’s also been in musicals like You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown and If/Then.
