Halloween season may be just behind us, but we can’t let it go by without sharing this sexy Dexter-inspired “dudeoir” shoot that is both gory and gross.

Dexter is an American television crime drama mystery series that aired on Showtime from 2006 to 2013. Set in Miami, the series centered on Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a forensic technician specializing in blood spatter pattern analysis, who leads a secret parallel life as a vigilante serial killer, hunting down murderers who have slipped through the cracks of the justice system.

Photographer Sarah Hester and model Zach Howell decided to work on a Dexter shoot as a gift last Halloween to their fans and followers.

“We knew it may be our only opportunity to put something like this out,” Sarah told Metro.co.uk. “The concept may not have been as accepted any other time of year.”

Sarah said: “I shoot using all natural light and I was worried we may miss our light for the day after the everything had been setup. Clean-up proved to me more difficult than the set up was.”

The shoot envisions model Howell as Dexter Morgan working on a patient, and getting all bloodied up in the process. He then takes a cold shower to clean himself up, stripping down to nothing and baring some booty in the process.

You may remember the duo from their Harry Potter themed shoot that cast a spell on us last year. Hester’s pics added a sexy adult sheen to JK Rowling’s protagonist while keeping all the adorkable glasses, scar and Marauder’s Map that fans have come to expect from the hero of Hogwarts.

Well, that was so successful they also envisioned Peter Parker and his alter ego Spider-Man, too.

The series, entitled “Spider-Man Dudeoir”, portrayed Peter Parker peeling away layers of clothing—including his tight, Spidey suit. “After Peter Parker comes home from a tough day working and fighting villains,” Hester writes on her blog, “he has to unwind a bit.”
