At 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, the day of Trump’s “Surrender Summit” with Russian President Vladimir Putin, a protest artist named Jeff Jetton covered the well-known Charging Bull statue in Manhattan’s Financial District with 130 purple, peach and rainbow-colored suction-cup dildos, put on a Vladimir Putin mask and hopped on the Wall Street bull, recording a short video for the world to see.

He also fitted the statue of the little girl staring down the Wall Street bull with a blue ski mask and an American flag cape, as if she were an American member of Pussy Riot.

Here’s the video of Jeff Jetton covering the Wall Street bull with dildos and riding it:

Jetton says he’d been planning the artistic protest since March and had checked out the location several times to determine when he could do it without being stopped or arrested.

Altgough Jetton has said he’d like to leave his stunt up to interpretation, he has also said, “It was showing Putin’s dominance over the institutions that are put in place to protect us,” adding, “Anybody who tells you sex toys aren’t good tools of resistance has never had a bag of dicks and a little bit of ingenuity.”

Despite his carefulness, the New York City police have reached out to him. He wrote via Twitter, “NYPD just invited me into the 1st precinct on Monday to receive a summons for my work as Putin on the Wall Street Charging Bull.” He added, “The officers were kind of laughing when they cited me.”

Shortly after Trump’s inauguration, Jetton made a name for himself as an independent citizen trying to find evidence of Trump’s possible collusion with Russia.

What do you think of Jeff Jetton putting dildos on the Wall Street bull?
