On This Morning, former Spice Girl Geri Horner held back tears when talking about the loss of her friend George Michael.

Horner reminisced about the influence Michael had on her life. She said he “took her under his wing” when she left the Spice Girls.

“He helped me with my first daughter. I lived with him, so I was gutted,” she said. “It’s not until someone goes until you suddenly go, ‘Oh my God.’ It’s very, very sad.”

Horner gave her son Monty the middle name George after her pop star friend.

She added, “We all loved him. It’s very sad when someone we all love dies.”
