Hamilton Audience, Cast and Crew Trolls Mike Pence
VP-elect/hatemongering fuckhead Mike Pence decided to take a break from the disastrous White House transition to watch Hamilton, a popular Broadway show that tells the story of the Founding Fathers with a singing, dancing, rapping, diverse cast.
Unfortunately for Pence, his evening out was not a pleasant one. According to multiple sources, Pence’s entrance to the theater was met with hostility. A big chunk of the audience booed him.
Unreal scene here – Mike Pence walks in and there's a massive mix of cheers and boos. pic.twitter.com/GVZ5L67mA3

Fortunately, somebody put footage of it on YouTube for all of us to enjoy:
Things got pretty intense during a musical number with the line “Immigrants: we get the job done.” According to Twitter users, the audience started chanting the line as a direct challenge to the anti-immigrant politician.
Glad to be at @HamiltonMusical as Mike Pence squirms when we chant in unison "Immigrants, we get the job done!"

It was an unforgettable performance
I thought LeBron Game 6 in Boston was the most emotionally charged performance until this Hamilton performance with Mike Pence in audience

The cast got in on the action, too. The actor playing King George III singled out the soon-to-be Vice President and serenaded him with a personal performance:
There was a full 3 minute standing ovation @HamiltonMusical when the King sang "On Your Own" directly at Mike Pence. This is catharsis.

The song referenced in the tweet above is probably What Comes Next, which features the lyrics:
What comes next?
You’ve been freed
Do you know how hard it is to lead? You’re on your own. Awesome. Wow.
Do you have a clue what happens now?Oceans rise. Empires fall.
It’s much harder when it’s all your call.
All alone, across the sea
When your people say they hate you,
Don’t come crawling back to me.
You’re on your own.
The audience loved the performance just as much as they hated Pence. According to a Twitter user who was apparently present for the show, the singer had to pause between lines to wait for the audience to finish dragging the soon-to-be-VP.
And when King George sang the line “Your people say they hate you,” the crowd went wild:
It looks like the booing really got to Pence. According to Sirius sports reporter Noah Coslov, Pence disappeared after Act I.
Second act started, Pence not in his seat…may have waited o bring him back later to not create another scene.

But he returned in time to get a very special message from the cast:
Yes #MikePence was at @HamiltonMusical here's what we had to say pic.twitter.com/YIjt7JZ3gF

We are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us.
A professional bigot like Pence shouldn’t have expected to be welcome at a Broadway show that celebrates racial diversity. But forging on ahead without thinking has served the Trump/Pence campaign really well so far, so we can’t blame him for his clueless actions. But we can blame him for supporting electroshock gay conversion therapy. And we can hope every second of his term in office is as miserable as his evening at Hamilton was.
