Hornet, the world’s premier gay social network featuring 18 million users worldwide, today announced major updates to its mobile app and website.
In its latest iteration, Hornet users can now access unique content from Hornet’s editorial news site Unicorn Booty—that’d be us!—as well as international gay city guides, all in one app and one website.
No other gay media company has thus far combined all three types of content into one setting, and it’s all part of Hornet’s effort to integrate what were previously sub-brands (Unicorn Booty for content, Vespa for gay city guides) into one unified entity, creating a more cohesive experience for users.
Hornet’s superior user experience has made it number one in several key worldwide markets, including France, Russia, Brazil, Turkey and Taiwan, and the app is consistently expanding its user base in the United States, too.
Inside the iOS and Android app (you can download at those links), users will be able to access other guys’ profiles, as well as places and events, and breaking news and pop culture stories all from the Discover tab, allowing for ease of navigation through the app. On the mobile and desktop website, guys can now go to any of the three properties (Guys, Stories or Places) and use each as a beginning point to access either of the other two content areas without having to type in another URL.
