Hornet’s #WeAreOne Campaign: 12 International Messages of Support for IDAHOT

In advance of IDAHOT — The International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, which takes place every May 17 — Hornet, the world’s premier gay social network, initiated its very own campaign, #WeAreOne. The campaign has a dual purpose: First and foremost, to draw attention to this international event honoring and celebrating the LGBT community; but also to draw the world’s attention to Taiwan, which could soon become the very first Asian territory to recognize same-sex marriage.

Indeed, for its #WeAreOne campaign, Hornet is working in cooperation with the Taiwan Alliance for Civil Partnerships. Here’s hoping Taiwan becomes the 23rd worldwide locale where gay marriage is on the books.

There’s still time today to join Hornet as it unites millions of people worldwide in support of recognizing human rights for all, irrespective of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. The aim is to draw the attention of decision makers, opinion leaders, the media and local authorities.

If you’re interested in participating in Hornet’s #WeAreOne campaign, we encourage you to create posts (photo or video is welcomed) on your personal Facebook and Instagram pages. Simply use the hashtags #WeAreOne and #HornetApp. Once they’re created, share them on the Facebook event pages that have been set up for various locales by language: English, Chinese, Thai, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.
