You’ll Jump Over These 12 Sexy Pics of Newly Out Olympic Hurdler Colin Jackson
In a recent interview on the Swedish television program Rainbow Heroes, 50-year-old former British Olympian silver medalist and world-record-holding hurdles jumper Colin Jackson revealed that he is gay.
A tabloid reportedly outed Jackson in 2008 after a flight attendant spoke with reporters about Jackson’s alleged fling with another former athlete. Jackson’s parents read the report and asked him if the tabloid’s report was true. Jackson fessed up, but he remained closeted to the public over fear that the media would sensationalize his sexuality.
The same year, Jackson reportedly told The Voice that he no longer believed the world of athletics had any stigma against gay athletes: “It’s the 21st century. I don’t think anybody thinks about that anymore,” he said. “There might have been a stigma in years gone by.”
He’s wrong, however. A 2015 study of 9,500 gay, straight and bisexual athletes found that 80% to 90% viewed athletics as hostile to LGB people. The lack of openly LGBTQ professional and Olympic athletes is further proof of the additional hurdles that LGBTQ athletes face on the field.
Despite any homophobia (perceived or not), in 1994, Jackson set the world record for the indoor 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.30 seconds. That record remains unbroken to this day.
Jackson retired from his sport in 2003 and become an occasional TV commentator and personality on BBC programs.
Now let’s celebrate him by checking out some sexy pics of hurdler Colin Jackson:
Even at 50, he’s a proper fit bloke.
He’s no longer afraid of a little buzz …
… or a close shave!
We carry a flame for him, in fact.
Plus, he’s apparently a whiz in the kitchen. The quickest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, y’know?
He’s also a snappy dresser.
We love how playful he can get with the camera.
Though he looks handsome and sexy, even when he’s just standing around.
Or lying around.
Of course, we wouldn’t mind getting a sexy pic from him every now and then …
… like this one. Wow! We’d jump over 100 meters worth of hurdles to win him!
