10 Epic Responses to Complicit Ivanka Trump’s Hypocritical Statements on Pride Month
Donald Trump has yet to say anything about LGBT Pride Month. He didn’t issue a proclamation like his predecessor nor has he scheduled any White House events honoring the significant month. But, his daughter Ivanka Trump has tweeted.
You can keep your tweet, Ms. Trump.
On Thursday, Ivanka tweeted out a Pride month message, writing, “Logging back on after Shavuot, wishing everyone a joyful #Pride2017.”
“This month we celebrate and honor the #LGBTQ community,” Ivanka added. “I am proud to support my LGBTQ friends and the LGBTQ Americans who have made immense contributions to our society and economy.”
The internet blew up, immediately coming for Ivanka’s tone-deaf and hypocritical stance during her father’s deafening silence.
We know, we know. You’re screwed, Ivanka. You’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t. But this is the complicit bed you have made for yourself. We hope your dreams are haunted with bad hair coloring jobs and horrible fashion.
Here are some of the best responses making the rounds today:

Ivanka Trump’s tweet about LGBTQ pride is just as disjointed as her speech about female empowerment in Saudi Arabia ???

Ivanka Trump is the kind of white girl who keeps saying she loves gay people & also thinks their only purpose in life is to do her hair

Please go back to silence and complicity. It’s slightly less offensive than this blazing bullshit and hypocrisy.

It’s so on brand for you to only celebrate the rich gays–the white ones with rich-via-inheritance father’s too, I’d bet. But thanks?
