Jason Momoa, perhaps best known for playing the nomadic warrior-king Khal Drogo in HBO’s violent fantasy series Game of Thrones, will play Aquaman alongside Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash and Cyborg in the upcoming DC superhero film Justice League.

He’s one sexy beast, so we’re gonna ogle him just for a bit.

The 38-year old actor was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He appeared in Baywatch Hawaii and Stargate: Atlantis, and he actually studied marine biology in college, making him a perfect choice for playing Aquaman, a superhero who can telepathically communicate with ocean animals, breathe underwater, swim really fast, and sports superhuman strength on land.

Here’s the Justice League trailer, starring Jason Momoa:

Until his recent re-emergence in comic books, Aquaman had long been derided as a second- or third-rate superhero with generally useless abilities. (Personally, we wouldn’t call ‘talking to dolphins’ useless. It’s amazing!) But he has asked fans to reserve their opinions until they see him in action in the upcoming Justice League film.

As you can see in the trailer, he kicks a lot of butt with that trademark trident.

In real life Momoa is an avid rock climber, motorcyclist and outdoorsman, and it shows in his stunning physique.
