I’m Yours singer and acoustic babe, Jason Mraz, recently proposed to longtime love Tristan Prettyman (A lady, despite her gay pornstar name). But don’t expect the two of them to tie the knot anytime soon. The couple is patiently waiting on the sidelines until marriage becomes a right for all to enjoy.

While attending Elton John’s recent Concert to Benefit the American Foundation for Equal Rights, Mraz told Us Weekly, “The wedding would be nice for our family, our friends, our community — our moms especially — and so it puts us in the fight. We can’t get married until [gay] marriage is legal and equal…I think giving people the right to marry will be a huge movement in civil rights.”

I love to hear stories like this. I’ve loved this couple for almost a decade now, ever since seeing the two perform live at a college campus in upstate Pennsylvania. Do yourself a favor and find their duet “Shy That Way” on iTunes. So good!
