Video footage went viral last week of an older white woman verbally and physically assaulting a pair of African-American female soldiers inside a restaurant. Online outrage increased when it turned out the soldier was pregnant. The woman at the center of the incident, Judy Tucker, has since been arrested and fired from her job, and it looks like her son, Robbie Tucker — also caught on camera during the incident — may have trouble finding work in the future as well.
Treasure Sharpe and Stephanie Mitchell are two U.S. Army Reserve captains. When they walked into a Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen in Macon, Georgia, they claim Judy Tucker and her son Robbie Tucker began making obscene comments to them. Robbie Tucker reportedly called them “dumb bitches” and “black lesbian bitches.” He also allegedly said, “I didn’t know they allowed lesbians to serve.”
The argument, which purportedly began over a parking spot, escalated when one of the soldiers began capturing video of the incident. This upset Judy Tucker, and the video shows her lashing out at the women. Judy Tucker was later arrested and charged with battery.
The police report says deputies reviewed video and determined that the 71-year-old woman was the primary aggressor in the incident, and there’s no evidence suggesting the other women did anything wrong. Jail records show she was later released on $650 bond. The deputies wrote they were still investigating, and that more charges could be pending.
Judy Tucker also lost her job. “Judy Tucker is not currently employed at Mercer University,” the school said in a statement. “She has occasionally taught an art class in the past, but will not be teaching at Mercer in the future.”
After the incident, Cheddar’s restaurant also released a statement, saying the Tucker family has been banned from their establishment. The restaurant chain wrote, “We were appalled by the behavior of the individuals who confronted the two female service members. Such behavior flies in the face of our values, and those individuals are no longer welcome in our restaurant.”
But our story doesn’t end there.
Robbie Tucker is the owner of Corvette Classics, a used Corvette dealership in Macon, Georgia. The dealership’s social media platforms and Google Business listing have been inundated with negative reviews since the assault. People have also uploaded imagery of the KKK as pics for the used car dealership. At one time the Google listing showed the business as permanently closed, but that has since been changed. We’re currently unsure whether the business is open or closed.
But one thing is for sure: Judy Tucker and her son will have trouble doing business in the foreseeable future because of their despicable behavior caught on camera.
