It was more than a month ago when we caught word that Will and Grace — which ran on NBC for eight seasons — would be returning to the network for a brand-new season during the 2017-18 season. Fans rejoiced at news of 10 more episodes, but it’s no secret that they weren’t clamoring for the namesake characters as much as the show’s two comedic ‘aces in the hole’: Jack McFarland and Karen Walker, the characters of Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally.

For a while, though, it was a “will they or won’t they?” kinda thing. Back in December, Mullally said this to Pride Source: “We’re not rehearsing or anything like that. But there is a very good chance that something is going to materialize… But can’t really talk about it or say anything, because you know how it is.”

Then, after many rumors, NBC finally announced it would be bringing the sitcom back.

Now, just tonight, Mullally posted the below photo to her Instagram account with the caption “#willandgrace promo shoot secrets.” The photo shows she and Hayes in character as the series’ loud-mouthed lush and dangerously superficial queen, respectively.

Fans — like us — were of course thrilled at this peek behind the scenes.

We still don’t have an airdate for Season 9 of Will and Grace, but here’s hoping our favorite horrible people, Jack and Karen, don’t take too much longer to return.
