Every year, The Hollywood Reporter‘s “Women in Entertainment” breakfast honors and celebrates the females who keep Hollywood intact. The 2016 event, held this morning, saw a bit of a spat between Fox News correspondent Megyn Kelly and famed LGBT-favorite comedienne Kathy Griffin.
From the podium, Kelly praised Donald Trump. “I have high hopes for him,” she said. “Despite the tweets and all the rest of it, there is much to admire about Donald Trump.”
That statement was met with recognizable boos from none other than queer activist Griffin, who has been quite vocal in her disavowal of a Trump presidency.
“There is. Stop that, stop that,” Kelly responded to the boos coming from the audience. “There’s room for the loyal opposition in this country, absolutely.”
“Fuck him,” Griffin replied back in her signature say-anything style.

Kelly was famously inserted into this past year’s election news cycle when Trump made some rather crude comments regarding her, which makes it all the more interesting that she’d defend the man from a podium. In fact, recently, Kelly’s new book, Settle For More, has been trolled by Trump supporters on Amazon.
Griffin also has a brand-new book to promote, titled Kathy Griffin’s Celebrity Run‑Ins: My A‑Z Index, which we recently reported on when Griffin strutted into the Target in West Hollywood for an impromptu book signing.
