All signs are pointing to the fact that Kim Cattrall would be super OK with producers casting someone else as sultry sexpot Samantha Jones or killing off the character altogether in the next Sex and the City (SATC) film. We think the latter makes most sense but the show is still about a foursome.

While we’d obviously miss Kim Cattrall, we couldn’t help but wonder who in Hollywood could replace her. Whoever it is would still have to be an older woman with intense sexual prowess to counterbalance Miranda’s neurosis, Charlotte’s conservatism and Carrie’s… confusion.

So here are ten actresses we would love to see step into the fab foursome on Sex and the City 3:

Demi Moore

Moore has already played the role of a cougar in real life when she dated Ashton Kutcher. So casting her as the fourth SATC gal who lusts after younger men wouldn’t be quite so far off.

Queen Latifah

At 47, Queen Latifah may actually be too young to play the role, but wouldn’t she be hilarious? And it would be nice to see some diversity — both of race and body type — in the cast this time around.

Sophia Vergara

When it comes to bombshells, obviously Sophia Vergara comes to mind. The 44-year-old actress is also probably way too young, but she’d be hilarious and would add a lot of spice to a third film.

Salma Hayek

Hayek is a more age appropriate choice similar to Vergara. At 51, she’ll still add some fresh energy and acting chops to the film.

Vanessa Williams

Fresh of her new TV show on VH1, the former Miss America winner would certainly add a whole new brand of sexiness to SATC.

Michelle Pfeiffer

Pfeiffer has had a resurgence recently with her critically acclaimed role in Mother! and her TV stint playing Bernie Madoff’s wife on the Showtime series about his life. We’d love to see her join the girls, maybe even as Samantha Jones herself!

Marisa Tomei

Tomei would be such a New York choice. The Academy Award winner could play a local New Yorker who has been in the city all her life. Divorced with kids, she could befriend Miranda at a PTA meeting and begin dating a younger guy.

Bo Derek

At 60, Derek still has whatever she was serving on the beaches in the 1979 film 10. She’s also already part of the SATC family, as she is married to John Corbett who played Aiden in the series and its second film.

Angela Bassett

We live for Bassett on American Horror Story. Seeing her sass and razor sharp wit in the third film would be super fabulous.

Goldie Hawn

Her return to acting in Amy Schumer’s Snatched was a bust. So maybe the third installment of Sex and the City will be Hawn’s saving grace. She does have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Christ’s sake!

Who did we miss that could replace Kim Cattrall?
