Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ Message Continues to Uplift LGBTQ Fans at Her L.A. Concert

Lady Gaga welcomed throngs of concertgoers to The Forum in Los Angeles last night, the first of three sold-out shows by one of pop music’s leading queens. Standing tall above the night’s theatrics — the theatrics of Gaga’s costumes and props, of the getups sported by her devoted fans (they sure do love fishnets!) and, perhaps most jaw-dropping, the theatrics of her elaborate, pyrotechnic-laden sets — were the 22 songs she pumped directly into the heads of her devoted Little Monsters.

For Lady Gaga, it all comes down to the music — that and her overarching, oft-referenced message of love and acceptance for all.

Fans left last night’s show with more than a head full of their favorite song lyrics, each of which was performed to its fullest. They also left with a directive from their pop music khaleesi: Despite the craziness of what’s going on in the world today, we will persist through the spread of love and support for our brothers and sisters.
