Gay pop star Mika participated in this year’s prestigious Sanremo Festival, organized by the RAI (Italy’s national public broadcasting company), and paid a beautiful tribute to George Michael, who died last December.
The man behind hits like “Relax, Take It Easy,” “We Are Golden” and “No Place in Heaven” conquered the audience with a medley of his biggest hits before offering tribute to Michael. He said he was afraid to play a song of the British gay artist, but he wanted to pay tribute to a “true genius of pop music.”
