A round of applause for Dr. James Madsen, the Mormon Army Colonel who addressed the Maryland House and spoke out in favor of the Maryland marriage equality bill that’s thiiiiiiis close to becoming law. Seriously. It’s just waiting on the Governor’s signature at this point. Woohoo!
Madsen, the father of a gay son tells the committee that he had to seriously check himself when his son came out to he and his wife twelve years ago.
“Leslie and I realized that Michael was still the same creative, talented, brilliant person that he’d been five minutes before he told us he was gay. He was still our son.” Amen!
