Musician, artist and queer activist Mykki Blanco says a fellow passenger on a Delta airlines flight called the police on him for making him feel uncomfortable.
In a series of tweets, Blanco reports that he took a nap on a Delta flight from Toronto to Detroit. When he woke up, he found out that another passenger had called the police because he didn’t feel comfortable sitting next to him. Instead of dismissing the queerphobic complaint, the police officer said that Blanco would go to jail for asking too many questions.
Delta responded:
@MykkiBlanco Hi Mykki, I honestly can't believe what my eyes are reading. I am so very sorry to hear that you had to experience… 1/4

@MykkiBlanco …something like this on a Delta flight. Discrimination of any kind isn't tolerated. We love ALL of our passengers…. 2/4

Mykki is currently traveling through North America on his Gay Dog Food tour promoting his new solo album. We hope he won’t be threatened with arrest for napping again in the process.
