Turn up the heat at Chicago Pride this weekend with Neverland’s Game Day, a sports-themed dance party that is sure to bring all the boys out in their hottest jocks.
Neverland is known throughout the country as Chicago’s hottest party, and you’ll have no trouble understanding why when you see the trade who comes out to party with their crew.
Neverland Events and Artist Management is a Chicago-based company that produces large-scale events for the queer community and operates an agency of some of our community’s high-profile ELGBTQ influencers and public figures. Who we’re talking? Only some of our favorite queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race like Naomi Smalls, Kim Chi, Shea Coulee and Sasha Velour.
Started in 2012 by Anthony DiFiore and Martin Luna, Neverland quickly evolved from a series of small dance parties to a multi-faceted corporation entrenched in LGBTQ entertainment.
Originally from Philadelphia, DiFiore never imagined he would be a big-time party producer like he is. He tells Chicago’s Windy City Times, “Suddenly, we started to get really ambitious when we realized we could grow the brand into something that could get national attention.”
“I’m a big theater-head, and I go to a lot of concerts, so I have an eye for what kind of production will excite people,” DiFiore continues. “It also helps that my partner is a really creative costume designer. What I love about event production is, it doesn’t feel like work. I’ve never been so excited about anything in my life, and I think that the excitement of our whole creative team permeates through the experience of each party.”
Headlining their sports themed dance party at Chicago Pride this upcoming weekend is internationally acclaimed DJ Paulo. Paulo’s distinctive tribal and house mixes have gained him headlining gigs at all the major gay festivals and dance parties around the world. Joining him to open the evening will be DJ Alex Cabot, a rising star in the Chicago house music scene, who last spun for at its Market Days “Harem” party.
Prepare yourself for their extravagant installations and lighting that transform the club to a unique experience, bound to start some locker room stories.
