We all deserve second chances, right? Mariah Carey is set to return to the stage at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest in Times Square on Sunday, Dec. 31.

Last year, Carey’s live performance in Times Square on New Year’s Eve was a hot mess. She was visibly upset and stopped singing, despite a pre-recorded track playing in the background proving that she does not sing all her music live. The performance went viral for all the wrong reasons, and it created a lot of dram between Carey and New Year’s Rockin’ Eve producers.

Afterward, the Grammy-winning singer posted a meme of herself on social media with the message “shit happens.” But it also led to a public battle between her and Dick Clark Productions as to who was at fault, with Carey’s team charging sabotage with technical glitches, including a faulty ear piece, and Dick Clark productions denying the claims and claiming she hadn’t rehearsed enough.

Well, it looks like Carey and New Year’s Rockin’ Eve producers have kissed and made up – and they’re looking to put last years debacle far behind them and redeem themselves this upcoming year.

“We can all agree that last year didn’t go exactly as planned and we are thrilled to move forward together to provide America with an incredible night of music and celebration on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018. See you in Times Square!” a statement from Carey and Dick Clark productions reads.

Announcing her performance, Carey tweeted, “Take 2. #RockinEve #NYE.”

In November, Carey signed with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation for management. She split with her manager of three years, Stella Bulochnikov, right before.

In a statement on Nov. 4, Bulochnikov said: “After working together for almost three years, Mariah Carey and Stella Bulochnikov have determined that it is in their mutual best interest to part ways on day-to-day management. During their time working together, they have accomplished great things, including, most recently, Mariah Carey’s new music and motion picture projects for this upcoming holiday season. Mariah Carey and Stella Bulochnikov remain partners in a number of business ventures, and will continue to support each other in those endeavors.”
