Bush to Obama on Osama: ‘Good Call’

Be first to like this.

Former President Bush was enjoying a dessert of souffles at a Dallas restaurant with his wife Laura and two friends when he got word that President Obama was trying to reach him. Bush excused himself, went home, and took the call.

Speaking to a conference of hedge managers, Bush recalled, “I excused myself and went home to take the call,” Bush said. “Obama simply said, ‘Osama bin Laden is dead.’”

After Obama continued to describe the secret raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan, and of his eventual approval the raid, Bush told Obama, “Good call.”

These words came as Obama has been repeatedly discredited for his role in finding, and killing, Osama bin Laden. Republicans believe that Obama should get zero credit for the successful mission to find Osama, and that Bush set Obama up for the epic success in the world’s biggest manhunt.
