Toronto-based Pansy Ass Ceramics turns your grandma’s china and vases into something a bit more … gay. All items are handmade and are one-of-a-kind. In need of a birthday present for a good friend or, even better, a house-warming gift? Pansy Ass Ceramics is your new go-to for penis planters and naughty vases and plates. (And, yes, you’re welcome.)

Founders Andy Walker and Kris Aaron spoke to Huffington Post all about their summer art project that eventually grew into a full-fledged business.

“We loved juxtaposing this old, ornate dinnerware with rudimentary porno drawings,” they say. “So we thought it was a funny marriage. It’s fun and silly and in a way really beautiful.”

“In one of my favorite pieces we’ve done so far, there’s a bondage theme,” say the guys. “A boy is tied up and he’s amongst this really gaudy ’70s floral pattern. I think the combination of these two things is really hilarious and kind of sexy, too.”

Their sassy and sexy ceramic pieces are the perfect addition to any queer home. They also have T-shirts, sweatshirts and sex-positive pins. But our favorite item they have created is the “Succulent Cock,” one of their penis planters.

It’s basically a penis you can attach on your wall, perfect for displaying a succulent or other small plant.

A few years ago the duo had an art show featuring their penis planters entitled Gag at DAIS Gallery in Toronto. The guys said in a statement:

Gag is a collection of artwork inspired by the fetish world and gay culture. “Gagging” is a slang term primarily used by gay men in the early to mid-’90s, used when something is so fierce you can’t help but wanting to gag from the overload of extreme ferocity. With the show we delve into themes of gagging as a fetish or something that gives us pleasure to it being a symbol for the silence of so many LGBTQ worldwide.

“I read in the book Behind the Candelabra is based on that Liberace’s boyfriend described how Liberace loved to put beautiful, priceless works of art next to just garbage shit from Vegas,” the guys told Huffington Post. “I love that. It doesn’t matter the cost; if you love something, display it. Anything you love has merit.”

“Today’s gay culture favors minimal design. Everyone likes clean lines and straight edges and white surfaces. It’s all very sterile and clean. I like that style, but I like the idea of putting a crazy, gaudy pink porcelain teddy bear on your minimalist credenza. Layer your tastes and see what happens.”
