Monkeys make everything better; that’s not a fact but it should be. Meanwhile, here’s some facts about one of our favorite monkeys of all: Black Spider Monkeys!

Black Spider Monkeys are one of the seven species of Spider Monkeys but they rank first in cuteness.

Found in tropical forests in eastern South America, Black Spider Monkeys are the largest of the species but weigh less than 20 pounds and stand no taller than 24 inches.

They’re best known for their scarlet faces, long tails which are used as an extra limb and hilariously adorable snowman-esque shape.

This one loves acting out.

Black Spider Monkeys have a lifespan of 33 years but are currently listed as endangered due to deforestation and overhunting.

Black Spider Monkeys thrive in moisture and need rainforests to survive.
