Expect to See This Men’s Two-Piece Set by Rufskin at Pride Celebrations This Summer

We just stumbled across this new release from Rufskin that we’re sure will be popping up at LGBT pride celebrations and gay beaches all summer long. The men’s two-piece jockstrap set is glamtastic, and available for purchase online now.

The top — called the “REX” — is billed as the “original torso tank top made from stretch metallic lamé.” Its body-hugging fit is designed with an arched chest plate, contoured hem and a stylish back seam.

The bottom is the “GLAM,” an adaptation of the label’s popular “RAVEN” jockstrap made from stretch metallic lamé to match the top. It boasts a front pouch with a contoured seam, along with an arched back yoke and comfortable, enclosed elastic straps. The jock is topped off with a custom engraved D-ring that rests on the hips.

The pieces are sold separately. The top retails for $44, while the bottom is being sold for $56.

Either piece can obviously be worn on its own, but we’re loving the pair together — the set as a whole is the true fashion statement here. But don’t go swimming — the set is not a bathing suit, even though you’re sure to see them worn on the beach and by the pool. (This was confirmed with us by a Rufskin rep we chatted with on the phone.)

As the set is made of stretch spandex lamé, the rep ensures us the fabric will probably not be all that comfortable if worn in the water. (But we’re sure that won’t stop some guys from testing it out this summer.)

The outfit is another reminder that crop-tops for men are in. In fact, they were one of the top fashion statements at Coachella this year. Yahoo! Lifestyle picked up on the trend, celebrating it with praise.

We love anything that femmes up a man’s wardrobe. We’re ordering a set for ourselves, and we can’t wait to wear it this summer on the sandy beaches of Fire Island and on the asphalt shores of New York City for Pride.
