When you hear the never-ending rain of stupidity from the Trump Administration, it’s hard to think of the proper words to say. Thankfully, there’s people like Sandra Bernhard who say exactly what we want to tell Trump to his face.
Sandra Bernhard has a radio show, Sandyland on Andy Cohen‘s Sirius XM channel Radio Andy. On the July 26 episode, Bernhard gave her opinion on that morning’s news about Trump banning transgender people from serving in the military. And she was having none of it.
“Honey, you’re a dollar short and a day fucking late. The shit has been written, it’s done. How fucking dare you. You fat fuck! Fuck you! I’m done with him!” And that’s just in the first 30 seconds of her monologue.
She’s not just mad about the trans ban — which the Pentagon isn’t following until Trump writes it down as an official order — but just about everything the GOP has done lately. (As are we all.) She calls out the Boy Scout speech, Trump’s climate change denialism and the repeated attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
Bernhard also has some choice words for John McCain who, that day, came to the Senate to cast the deciding vote to open debate on Trump’s health care bill:
By the way, that healthcare thing? That’s not gonna happen. [Editor’s Note: She was right.] And you know what, John McCain? Fuck you with your fucking five-star fucking health care. You with your goddamn condition. You get everything handed to you. You go to the Mayo Clinic out in Scottsdale, they fuckin’ pull your fuckin’ brain apart and it’s all paid for. $76,000 surgery. Who’s paying for that shit? We’re paying for that shit. What about the rest of the people in this country who fuckin’ have to go to health fairs to get their goddamn teeth pulled in this country. Fuck you! How dare you! You fucking asshole, you should have gotten up there and said ‘I’m not voting for anything until we have equal health care for every person in this fucking country.’ ENOUGH. I’m so goddamn mad. I could fucking tear his head off. I’ve had it.
Her entire segment on this is about four-and-a-half minutes long, and the entire thing is worth listening to. We don’t have too much to add other than to say right on.
