On last night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, actress Sarah Jessica Parker (SJP) opened up about how she felt when her Sex and the City (SATC) co-star Kim Cattrall said they were never friends. She also met Carrie Dragshaw, the Instagram star recreating some of most iconic SATC looks.

Andy Cohen, one of SJP’s besties, asked her, “What was your reaction to Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan that you were never friends, just colleagues?”

Parker responded:

[I felt] just heartbroken. That whole week… I found it very upsetting. Because that’s not the way I recall our experience. So, it’s sad, but…. I always think that what ties us together is this singular experience. It was a professional experience, but it became personal because it was years and years of our lives. So I’m hoping that that sort of eclipses anything that’s been recently spoken…. That many years spent doing something so special that people had a connection with is such a privilege.

Also on the episode, Sarah Jessica Parker met Carrie Dragshaw, the drag persona of Dan Clay who has gone viral with his Instagram homages to Carrie Bradshaw.

SJP had already been a fan of Clay, following his every move and commenting on many of his photographs, but the two had never met until last night.

After holding an impromptu “SMJ OMG Drag Pageant” featuring three drag queens imitating SJP’s various film roles, Parker opened up about how much she loves Clay and why people should be following him now.

“If you go look at Dan’s Instagram page, it’s kind of staggering what he does. [He recreates Carrie Bradshaw’s clothes] and then writes an exquisite, he writes a soliloquy, he writes an aria. Yes! And it’s really amazing. Yes, so it’s such a treat that you’re here. It’s such a treat.”

Sarah Jessica Parker crowned Clay as the winner of her pageant. “Out of appreciation and respect for the hours and time that you should have spent doing other things,” she said before handing him the crown and sash.
