A post by Yiannopoulos on Facebook confirms it:
Simon & Schuster came under fire for their controversial decision to offer a book deal to white nationalist troll Milo Yiannopoulos, due to his history of preaching hate speech and harassing marginalized people like immigrants and trans women.
Until recently, many conservatives, centrists and liberals were defending Yiannopoulos’s ugly rhetoric, claiming that he has a First Amendment right to speak at college campuses. Bill Maher offered him a comfortable guest spot on his talk show. The President of the United States even threatened to defund California’s education system because a group of anarchists chased Yiannopoulos away from a scheduled talk at UC Berkeley.
But after Yiannopoulos made statements condoning sexual relationships between adult men and underage boys, people have been distancing themselves from him. Even his coworkers at Breitbart are reportedly threatening to quit if he isn’t fired.
We can’t say whether or not this spells the death of Milo’s career; cockroaches are notoriously tough.
But for the moment, let’s all sit back and enjoy the schadenfreude.
