Thousands of women across the world are celebrating International Women’s Day with an International Women’s Strike and one of those women may be the Statue of Liberty,

Just two hours before International Women’s Day began, the Statue of Liberty’s lights went out. How coincidental is that?

Raymond Braun had a fantastic tweet about the whole thing:

We like to think she went on strike against the violence, economic exploitation and reproductive coercion that women face all over the world. And also because Donald Trump is a raving lunatic. But it’s actually because of some Hurricane Sandy recovery project work.
