Why we’re covering this: Texting and driving kills. Stay alive and loving instead.

New Zealand’s Transport Agency just released a funny video that shows an affectionate way to discourage friends from texting and driving: when the driver reaches for their phone, put your open palm in the way. The drivers will think that you want to hold hands because you’re secretly gay/bi for them (or maybe they’re gay/bi for you).

Either way, holding hands while driving is a bad idea too — both hands on the wheel, lovebirds. Save the texting and romance for after you’ve parked.
