Still don’t have the perfect costume idea? Maybe you had to reject your initial idea? Fear not, Slick It Up has the best last-minute costume idea. On the other hand, if you’re ready for Halloween to be over so we can talk about Christmas, we’ve got some great gift ideas too. We even have the perfect suggestion for you to spend a quiet weekend with your bae. Here’s our list of must-haves for the week.
1. Whiskey baubles from Lakes Distillery
This gift set from Lakes Distillery is the best holiday present ever. Instead of standard ornaments and glass balls, you can deck the halls with whiskey! These whiskey-filled baubles are beautiful and functional!
Don’t worry if you’re not a whiskey drinker — Lakes also offers gin ornaments flavored with cinnamon and raspberry. They even have salted caramel vodka for the holidays. This package comes with six delicious decorations and retails about $42 for the set. Lakes Distillery is taking pre-orders now — so get in the Christmas spirit with these Christmas spirits!
2. This private New Year’s Eve party from Neiman Marcus
For the past 91 years, Neiman Marcus has released their awesome Christmas Book. Each edition features a selection of incredibly amazing, obscenely expensive gifts to drool over. And this year, Neiman Marcus has the perfect package for you (and your 299 closest friends). For a mere $1,600,000, you and your guests get to experience New Year’s Eve on a rooftop of the iconic Knickerbocker Hotel above Times Square.
On December 31, 2018, you and your guests be served a private dinner with premium drinks. Don’t get too full, though — after dinner is a party with your own personal DJ. If you’ve got a spare $1.6 million lying around, this will be a night you’ll never forget.
3. Amazon Key delivery service
Last month, Walmart started its “In-Fridge” service delivery service. Not to be outdone by the competition, Amazon announced its “Amazon Key” program this week as a way to personalize its delivery services.
To prevent package theft, Prime customers can now purchase a smart lock and the Cloud Cam camera directly from Amazon. The camera and the smart lock set cost about $249. (You can also buy the Cloud Cam separately for $120.) Once you buy it, Amazon sends out a team of professionals to install the system at no extra cost.
Once you’ve got the system, Amazon’s delivery people can put your packages inside the house. When you get a package, the delivery person will get a message on their phone letting them unlock the door. From then, they only have five minutes to close the door again to complete the delivery.
Amazon Key begins next month in thirty-eight states, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
4. Golden Knight Suit by SLICK IT UP
Need a sexy costume for this weekend’s Halloween party? Slick It Up specializes in fun, flirty gear with a sense of humor. It’s the perfect place to score a titillating one-of-a-kind costume.
We especially recommend Slick It Up’s newest work, the Golden Knight Suit. Made from ultra-reflective gold micro sequins, the fabric is lightweight and cool. The sheer material means you may want to wear a thong or jock to keep from showing too much … but we’re not your mom. The mask with the hood sells separately, but why not complete the look? $264 at slickitup.com
5. Stranger Things Season 2
The wait is finally over! After a year of anticipation, we finally get to see what the gang is up to after Will’s return from the Upside Down. This year’s Stranger Things begins a year later around Halloween, with the boys getting their Ghostbusters costumes ready. But, in true form, It doesn’t take too long for, ahem, stranger things to happen. This season has all sorts of frights, from a big sky-spider, a creepy cabin in the woods and more. But it’s not just chills — this season’s focusing more on story, so we’ll get to know the characters much better. If you’re ready to Netflix and chill this weekend, Stranger Things Season 2 started streaming Friday!
