Unicorn Tears: Dumb Gay Conservatives Regret Helping Launch Trump’s Political Career

“I’m sorry, America. I helped Donald Trump to give his first speech as a potential candidate. And now I’m going to work to make sure he never gives an Inauguration speech. I think we both got out of it what we needed out of [his appearance at our event]. He used us and we used him to further our goals. I admit, I was enamored by Trump at first. I understand the appeal he’s having with people because I’m frustrated and I’m mad at the system too. But Donald Trump isn’t the answer.”

Jimmy LaSalvia (pictured left above), founder of the now defunct gay conservative group GOProud, expressing regret for having helped launch the career of Republican presidential frontrunner and human buttplug Donald Trump by having sponsored his speech at the 2011 Conservative Political Action Conference that GOProud spent years sucking up to to be a part of.

To be clear, GOProud was a horrible organization that promoted lots of anti-gay Republican candidates including Mitt Romney, the 2012 GOP Presidential candidate who promised to pursue a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage. GOProud itself didn’t even support same-sex marriage until 2013. LaSalvia and his muscleclad GOProud co-founder Chris Barron (picture right of Satan) stepped down from the organization in 2013 and the group disbanded in 2014, good riddance, though Caitlyn Jenner would probably be a member if it were still around today.

That same year, LaSalvia disaffiliated from the Republican party over its non-stop bigotry, though he still calls himself an independent conservative. Also speaking to CNN, Barron said, “[Trump] has unleashed forces with the conservative movement that we will be dealing with for years and years to come. If I would have known what I know now, I would have found somebody else.”

Barron is wrong. Barron and LaSalvia helped unleash Trump. They helped him rise to power. And now other LGBT people love him too.
