Police Have Raided a Vatican Priest’s Gay Drug-Fueled Orgy

Vatican City, the Italian city-state where the Pope lives, may be the headquarters of the anti-LGBTQ Roman Catholic Church, but it’s also one of gayest places on earth. The Vatican itself is all decked out in marvelous art that would make the gayest art-lovers jealous, it’s guarded by security forces who wear flamboyant Renaissance costumes and gay scandals keep erupting among Catholic officials associated with the Vatican. This last week, for instance, Italian police raided a drug-fueled gay orgy at a priest’s apartment near the city. Pretty gay, you guys.

After reports from neighbors of suspicious activity, police raided the apartment of an unnamed priest who reportedly works as a secretary to Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, a personal adviser to Pope Francis. Police arrested the priest after discovering a group of men having sex in his apartment with drugs present. Although gay sex is not illegal in Vatican city (it’s only a sin) police still took the priest in for questioning.

The International Business Times reported, “The apartment belongs to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, whose duties include investigating clerical sexual abuse.” They also reported that Cardinal Coccopalmerio had recently recommended that one of his aides be promoted to bishop, but the consideration was put on hold after the aides’ “two previous alleged drug overdoses.”

It shouldn’t really surprise anyone that Catholic officials are having gay sex near the pope’s home, especially considering the alleged existence of a secret “gay lobby” in the Vatican. The most damning details of this so-called lobby came from a lawsuit involving a priest who allegedly hired male sex workers for priest orgies. The priest also allegedly solicited well-hung teenage believers and regularly propositioned members of the Vatican Swiss Guard, the aforementioned guards who protect the pope’s home.

You might think that all this gay activity can be traced to the current pope being more accepting of LGBTQ people, but he actually has a pretty long record of opposing LGBTQ rights. So maybe God is sending him all these gay scandals as a sort of test of faith. The Lord works in mysterious (and incredibly gay) ways.
