British YouTuber Jamie Raines started taking testosterone just before his 18the birthday. For the next three years, he took a selfie almost every day to record its effect on his physical appearance. For their show Born in the Wrong Body, BBC 4 put all of Raines’ selfies into a single 30-second time lapse video and the transformation is incredible. Gradually, he loses his chubby cheeks, gets a longer nose and starts growing facial hair.

If you’re curious, Raines discusses issues like top surgery, using prosthetic penises and his relationship in his YouTube videos — they’re funny, humanizing and shed light on his unique gender experience — totally worthwhile.
