Virginia House Passes an Anti-Porn Law to Save the State from the Horrors of Group Sex

Now that their power is unchecked, Republicans are pushing anti-porn legislation nationwide. The GOP declared porn a “public health crisis.” South Carolina lawmakers filed a bill to force manufacturers to include porn-blocking software in their devices. And now the Virginia House has passed a resolution that calls pornography harmful and says it leads to group sex. We wish!

Vocactiv writes:

More uniquely, the resolution, HJ549, warns about those damn porn-fueled orgies. That particular passage reads, “use of pornography, by either partner, is linked to an increased likelihood that individuals will engage in group intercourse.” The implication being both that porn causes group intercourse and also that group intercourse is somehow a problem.

We don’t know how Virginia came up with the link between porn and group sex. Our years of research have led us to a very different conclusion, alas.
