During a volleyball match, two Japanese volleyball players got into a heated argument on the court. They ended their confrontation with a sweet peck on the lips and the crowd went wild.
The volleyball brawl occurred between Yu Yamamoto, 24, and Takuya Takamatsu, 29, at an All-Star game held by the Japan Volleyball League.
There are no openly gay players in Japanese volleyball but the kiss was received positively by fans. The moment was applauded on social media as the “best sportsmanship ever.” Takamatsu did later clarify he “loves [Yamamoto] like a little brother.”
