Lady Gaga Appears on RuPaul’s Latest Podcast ‘What’s The Tee’ with Michelle Visage
Everybody is dying that Lady Gaga is on the very first episode of the next season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. The combination of Lady Gaga and RuPaul is just too much fabulousness for us to handle.
While taping the show, they also sat down to record an episode of Ru’s podcast “What’s The Tee” with Michelle Visage. She appears around the 53-minute mark.
Here are some of our favorite moments:
On going to gay clubs after her gigs:
“After my show at the arena, I would get into the car if I was up to it and we would head to the gay club and I would do a show on the fly just for the kids.”
On losing things:
“I have been returned things before and it made me cry once. One time, a fan returned a pair of glasses they were also Versace. The ones that biggie wore in the 90s’, the squarish ones. I loved those. I paired them with my grace jones outfits, you know? I loved them so much and they fell off when I was singing in a club in Canada. And they were gone and I was do devastated. At that time, I didn’t have the money to just go and buy another pair. And one day I was doing a record signing in New York and this young kid just came up to me and he said, “I found these glasses at your show. And I knew they were yours. I didn’t give them back because I wanted to keep them. I love your music so much and I have been following you since then and I really wanted you to have them.”
“90% of the time I don’t give a shit if someone has a camera in my face at the grocery store.”
On her quick rise to fame:
“At the time this is what happened. But looking back I can’t believe. It even gives me jitters now when I think about putting out a new record. on the one side you think i really want everyone to love it. but on the one side you go what if they really love it. I remember what happens when the world just falls in love with something that you have made. Your whole life changes. The atmosphere, the energy around you, the responsibility, it zaps you into a roller coaster.”
