All is not well in the land of Oz. According to a memoir by Sid Luft, the actors who played the Munchkins sexually harassed Judy Garland. What a bunch of creeps!

People writes:

Sid Luft, who was married to Garland from 1952-1965, described the alleged abuse in a new, posthumous memoir, Judy and I: My Life with Judy Garland.

‘They would make Judy’s life miserable on set by putting their hands under her dress … The men were 40 or more years old,” wrote the producer and business manager, who died in 2005.

“They thought they could get away with anything because they were so small,” he added.

Gross! Even worse, Garland was only 16 years old at the time.

The Munchkinlanders have spawned tons of rumors, from allegations of drunkenness to a famous urban legend of a suicide on-set.

One thing’s for certain, though: groping a minor is loathsome, no matter what your height is.
