According to Reuters, hundreds of thousands of people participated this weekend World Pride in the streets of Madrid. This makes it one of the largest LGBT gatherings in Europe.

The next World Pride will be held in New York in 2019 and will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots and the beginning of modern gay activism. Until then, Paris will host the Gay Games next year.
