Female video game characters, like Lara Croft from Tomb Raider (not to be confused with Cara Loft from Womb Raider), often get depicted as vampy fucktoys. So in the name of gender equality, it’s long overdue for male characters to get the same treatment.
Luckily, German artist Ulysses0302 (aka Raffael) got the memo: his gender-swapped, tomb raiding hero Nathan Thomas is just as scantily clad as Lara, minus her barely-there halter top — and we can’t stop staring.
Yes, objectification is problematic and Nathan has the exact kind of generic, chiseled body that bores/irritates us, but allow us to be shallow for just a second. If Square Enix, the company that releases Tomb Raider, ever had the gall to give Lara a male counterpart, we’d play with him (and ourselves, most likely) for hours.
Alas, the video game market has yet to truly pander to the horny gay male market; so until that day comes, Nathan Thomas will just have to continue raiding our dreams.
Interestingly, Ulysses0302 said on his Deviant Art page that he recently filed a YouTube video copyright violation against feminist video game critic Anita Sarkeesian for using an image of Nathan in one of her videos without crediting him. A lot of other sites have displayed the images without crediting him either, but not us… no ma’am. You can also see a lot more of Nate (and a lot more digital male hotness) at Ulysses0302’s full gallery.
