Payment Methods in Thailand and Troubleshooting

If you’re having trouble completing your purchase, make sure your payment method is supported and set up correctly in your Apple ID settings.

Apple currently supports the following payment methods for App Store purchases in Thailand:

Supported Payment Methods:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB)
  • Mobile phone billing (AIS, DTAC, TrueMove H)
  • ShopeePay
  • TrueMoney Wallet
  • Apple ID balance (via App Store & iTunes Gift Cards)

You can add, remove, or update these payment methods from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

How to Set Up a Payment Method on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name at the top.
  3. Tap Media & Purchases, then View Account.
  4. Tap Manage Payments.
  5. Tap Add Payment Method.
  6. Select the method you want to add (e.g. credit card, ShopeePay, or TrueMoney).
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your payment details.

How to Set Up Mobile Phone Billing

You can pay through your AIS, DTAC, or TrueMove H mobile number.

  1. Follow steps 1–4 above.
  2. Tap Add Payment Method.
  3. Select Mobile Phone.
  4. Confirm your carrier and phone number.
  5. Apple will send a verification SMS — follow the instructions to complete setup.

Using ShopeePay or TrueMoney Wallet

Make sure you’ve already set up your ShopeePay or TrueMoney Wallet in their respective apps before linking them:

  1. Open Settings > Your Name > Media & Purchases.
  2. Tap Manage Payments.
  3. Tap Add Payment Method and select ShopeePay or TrueMoney Wallet.
  4. You’ll be redirected to log in and authorize the connection.

  • Making sure your Apple ID is registered in Thailand.
  • Ensuring your wallet or mobile number is active and verified.
  • Trying a different method (e.g., Apple ID balance from a gift card).
