Let These ‘Drag Race’ Legends Teach You Everything You Need to Know About ‘Claws’

Be first to like this.

What’s that? You still haven’t sat down to binge the first season of Claws? Unacceptable.

Smart, sexy and funny, the dark comedy — which on June 10 kicked off its second season on TNT — is one of the best things currently airing on television. Starring Niecy Nash (Reno 911), Carrie Preston (True Blood, The Good Wife), Karrueche Tran, Harold Perrineau (Oz) and a slew of other faces you’re sure to recognize from the small screen, Claws is all the drama, intrigue and queer sex appeal you’ve been longing for.

But don’t take my word for it. Instead take the word of some of your all-time favorite Drag Race legends. Just for those who haven’t yet binged the first season, these queens have produced a three-minute recap to get you all caught up, called “Queens on Claws.”

“If you missed Season 1, me and some other bad-ass queens have got you covered,” says Bob The Drag Queen, who takes on Niecy Nash’s role of lead character Desna in the Season 1 spoof that mixes real footage with hilarious re-enactments. (Gia Gunn, Alyssa Edwards, Jinkx Monsoon and Valentina take on the show’s other roles.) “Here’s everything you need to know about Claws.”

The women of ‘Claws’

Here’s a quick rundown: Claws takes place in the stickiest, trashiest reaches of South Florida, and it centers around Nail Artisans of Manatee County, a salon where Desna and her staff of wacky manicurists are running a front for the mob in between gifting suburban women with the most jaw-droppingly awesome manicures you’ve ever seen. (Seriously, the nails in this series are en pointe, often literally.) What could go wrong, right?

If you’re not watching this series, you’re seriously missing out.

Best of all, once you’re all caught up, you can catch “extended drag caps” of the episodes at TNT On Demand. And we thought Claws couldn’t get any better!

Claws airs Sunday nights on TNT.
