There’s nothing like getting away from it all to recharge. Whether you’re the type of vacationer who likes to explore a new city to the point of exhaustion or the type who just wants to laze by a pool, there’s no shortage of quirky Airbnbs that are perfectly suited to your needs.

And even if you’re not actually planning a trip at the moment, it’s never the wrong time to be dreaming of one.

We’ve rounded up five of our favorite quirky Airbnbs around the world:

1. Winnie the Pooh’s Home (East Sussex, England)

Kim Raymond, who has been drawing the beloved bear for the past 30 years, is host to this incredible tiny home stay in the United Kingdom. Housing up to four guests, the booking also includes a tour through Ashdown Forest — which inspired the Hundred Acre Wood.

About the listing, Raymond says, “The ‘Bearbnb’ is a unique experience that brings the charm of Pooh to life for fans, whilst honoring the original adventures that have been so important to many people for 95 years.”

2. Kalle’s Inn Glassshouses (Mustasaari, Finland)

These igloos are truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience under the Aurora Borealis. The glass is heated so you have a clear view no matter what the weather is like, and each room offers a 180°-degree view over the sea and horizon for prime seal and bird watching.

There’s also a shared pool and sauna space.

3. Skylodge Adventure Suites (Urubamba, Peru)

Of all the quirky Airbnbs on our list, this one is not for the faint of heart. This Airbnb pod literally hangs from the top of a mountain in the Sacred Valley of Peru and requires guests to either hike with ziplines or climb Via Ferrata to get there.

Once there, however, the view is immaculate and you’ll be treated to a gourmet dinner with wine.

4. Underground Hygge (Orondo, Washington, United States)

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit, and now you can too. With its two-guests-max policy and six acres to hike and explore, this is the ideal romantic getaway for the couple who loves Tolkien.

“Every nook of this little habitation will warm your sole, every cranny will charm your expedition of repose. Up the pathway, tucked into the earth, an unbelievable adventure awaits!” reads the listing.

5. Giraffe View (Zebra Safari Tent) (Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape, South Africa)

This incredible stay includes a private deck, hammock, fire pit, picnic table, and all the wildlife you can ask for.

Accommodating up to four guests, it’s close to animal parks, beaches and an organic farm so you can get the most out of your trip to Plettenberg Bay. The hosts also offer guided game drives and walks.
